A hands-on Technical Project Manager is needed to lead complex federal IT initiatives. This role combines project leadership, technical understanding, process optimization, and execution. The successful candidate will work with government stakeholders, delivery teams, product owners, Scrum teams, and technical resources from project initiation through delivery.
YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with stakeholders and delivery teams to establish requirements, identify risks, maintain schedules, and communicate project status.
- Track project progress, risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans while identifying activities that may affect delivery timelines.
- Use technical knowledge to resolve critical issues, protect project schedules and budgets, and build consensus among government and partner teams.
- Provide oversight and support for team initiatives, objectives, and delivery commitments.
- Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and technical teams to prioritize work and manage sprint activities using tools such as Jira.
- Prepare executive briefings and presentations for government leadership and senior stakeholders.
- Guide teams in federal compliance and delivery processes, including SDLC, ITSM, SLM, ATT, ATO, and ITSR-related activities and documentation.
- Serve as a trusted technical project advisor while delivering complex federal technology initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 7+ years of professional experience, including at least 3 years managing federal IT projects.
- Experience with Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence and with facilitating Scrum ceremonies.
- Hands-on software development experience.
- Experience leading SaaS platforms such as ServiceNow or Microsoft Power Platform, data integration/analytics platforms such as Palantir, and/or DevSecOps implementations.
- Experience presenting to executive and C-suite stakeholders.
- Strong presentation, communication, stakeholder-management, collaboration, scheduling, and requirements-management skills.
NICE TO HAVES
- PMP certification.
- Agile or Scrum certification such as CSM.
- Experience with federal ATO processes.
CLEARANCE: U.S. Citizen; active DHS clearance, DoD Top Secret clearance, or Q-level clearance.
